The Healthy Working Lives Group (HWLG) is a clinically led research and education group based at the University of Glasgow. For over three decades, HWLG has worked at the intersection of occupational medicine, public health, employability, and work-focused healthcare, supporting evidence-based practice across health and work systems.

Study occupational health online with the University of Glasgow

Learn with the Healthy Working Lives Group, based in Glasgow, Scotland. Our combined preparatory course supports candidates for the Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed) and Diploma in Occupational Health Practice (DipOHPrac).

Teaching brings together occupational health clinicians, researchers and specialists in educational design, with online modules, live tutorials and dedicated examination and portfolio preparation.

Next intake: 1 February to June 2027
Delivery: fully online, with live tutorials on Microsoft Teams
Course fee: £3,000 per delegate (VAT not applicable).

Glasgow delivers the preparatory teaching. The Faculty of Occupational Medicine awards the qualifications following its examination and eligibility requirements.
